MageMedicBot
If you found MageMedicBot/1.0 in your server logs, this page explains what it did.
What it does
MageMedicBot looks at the public storefront of online stores to see whether they run Magento, which release they're on, and whether that release still gets security patches. It loads the same public files any visitor's browser loads.
What it requests
- Your homepage
/magento_version, the public version endpoint Magento providesrequirejs-config.jsandjquery.jsfrom your theme's public static files
That's usually four requests per site, at most once a week. Across all sites it makes no more than about 80 requests a minute. Speed scores come from Google's PageSpeed Insights, so those page loads come from Google, not from us.
What it never does
- Log in, submit forms or add anything to a cart
- Visit admin pages or guess at hidden URLs
- Scan for vulnerabilities or test exploits
How to opt out
