When you contact me
The contact form collects your store’s web address, your name, your email address, your message and, if you choose, how you found me. I use them to reply and, if you ask, to scope work for you. The form also records your browser type, the page you came from, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address that can’t be turned back into the address, to block spam.
Messages are stored on MageMedic’s own server and sent to me by email.
Analytics
The site doesn’t run any analytics tool at the moment. This page will be updated before one is added.
Booking
If you book a Health Check, the booking tool collects your name, email and chosen time under its own privacy policy, and shares the booking with me.
Cookies
The contact page sets one cookie needed for the form to show errors without losing what you typed. The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
Our storefront checker
MageMedic checks the public pages of online stores to find stores running Magento, as described on About our storefront checker. From a store’s own public pages it may record the business’s published contact details, such as a general email address, phone number, address, and the names and job titles of people listed on its About or Team pages. These are used only to contact the business about its Magento store.
To have your store or yourself excluded, email justin@magemedic.com. We’ll stop checking the store and won’t contact you about it.
What I don’t do
I don’t sell or rent your information, and I don’t share it except with the service providers named above that help run this site.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information I hold about you by emailing justin@magemedic.com.
